Small unhealthy oak tree needed to be removed from the garden to make way for some fruit trees. Not a very technical job as there was a lot of open space available to drop the tree. It was a chilly day until the sun finally came out in the late morning. See if your eyes are good enough to catch the handstand mid cleanup.
Quick time-lapse of a 40 foot pine tree coming down. Tree was rubbing on the adjacent pines and causing damage.
This was a fun one. This was a 25' dead queen palm tree. It was like climbing a big toothpick. It was actually the perfect job for training the newest member of our team. The reason it was the perfect job, is that the tree was in an area that was free of obstacles so the potential for damage was minimal. I wanted to show our new teammate how to rig off a spar (a spar is essentially a pole, or tree with no natural points to tie a rigging pulley). As we worked down the pole we cut small notches below the point we want to cut, and then tie in a pulley. We then run a rope through the pulley, tie off our section, and then cut. The person on the ground controls the decent of the section and safely lowers it to the ground. It was a good learning experience for everyone.
Cypress Tree Removal | Homeowners were getting ready to do a complete overhaul on their backyard. They were having their yard terraced and leveled as well as a retaining wall built along the lake. They had to have the cypress trees as well as a very large fir removed. It will be interesting to see what it looks like when it is all finished.
Small Pine Tree Removal | Marylin needed a small pine removed to give her other trees some more space and more sun. The weather was perfect and you couldn't ask for a better space to work.
